Success Stories
'Aero Recip has been dealing with Sun Air Parts for more than 20 years, and early on, we found that Sun Air's staff are some of the most knowledgeable people in the business when it comes to the Pratt & Whitney Radial Engines. Sun Air's dedication to the radial engine is undeniable. They carry an extensive inventory of parts and have FAA-PMA Approval to manufacture parts that are no longer available on the surplus market. Their service to us has always been fast and very friendly. Over the years we have maintained a great working relationship with Sun Air, and that has developed into a friendship that goes beyond the Radial Engine business.'

About Us | Sun Air Parts
![]() The company specializes in the supply of Pratt & Whitney Piston Engine Parts, tools, and accessories. United Aircraft of Canada, Pratt & Whitney Division, decided to stop the support of their old Piston Engines in the early 1970’s. Many small regional Airlines and most foreign Airlines still operated DC-3, DC-4, and DC-6 Aircraft with the old P & W Engines as power plants. Also, many Air Forces, including the USAF, still had equipment with these engines, so there was still a large market for spare parts, tools, and engines.
![]() The company also has stock of over 40 overhauled engines ready to go! We have over 100 “core” engines, of various sizes. We have an engine exchange program and deal with all the major F.A.A. Overhaul Facilities in the United States.
In 2007, we purchased the inventory of J.T. Luckey Company of Texas. The inventory was mainly P & W Parts.
Our customers include all FAA Approved Engine Overhaul Shops in the U.S. and worldwide. They also include USAF, Hellenic Air Force, Australian Air Force, South African Air Force, Government of Canada, USMC, Fire Bombers, and Crop Dusters world wide as well as many other Parts Suppliers, Brokers, Aircraft Owners, Operators, Regional Airlines, and a hand full of Major Airlines.
Thrush Aircraft Chooses Sun Air PartsIn 2008 Thrush Aircraft built twenty brand new 600 Thrush R1340 powered Ag-Planes. Sun Air Parts got the contract for all twenty engines, exhaust sets, starters, governors, alternators, fuel pumps, A4949-AN4101 motor & pump assemblies, and other accessories. Why did Thrush choose Sun Air Parts rather than going directly to the overhaul shops?
